As CareerBuilder CEO, Sue is motivated to not just change lives but help build the future of work. Having joined as CEO in July 2021, Sue is poised to take CareerBuilder beyond its status as industry founder to transform the way hiring and job seeking happens in the 21st century. With a sharp focus on diverse hiring, technological breakthroughs, and new sources of talent, Sue is making it easier — and more enjoyable — for candidates and employers to connect by creating an employment journey where people can thrive every step of the way.
Sue brings more than three decades of leadership experience in the tech industry. She joined CareerBuilder from Optum, the health services company owned by United Health Group. From 2019 to 2021 she served as Chief Operating Officer for Optum's $10B technology and services division, OptumInsight. Sue has run multibillion-dollar operating divisions of large, global technology and services companies including NTT Data, DXC Technology, and Hewlett Packard.
Sue currently serves on the Board of Directors for Rackspace Technology and the Philadelphia, Delaware, and Susquehanna Valley chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Spanish from Gettysburg College.
How did you make your first dollar? Delivering newspapers at age 10.
When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up? A police officer.
If you sent a text message to the whole world, what would it say? Peace.
What drives and motivates you? My family. I am also incredibly curious and restless - I want to make an impact.

Motivated by the idea that having a well-matched and fulfilling job can increase a person's sense of success and quality of life, Leigh-Margaret has been at CareerBuilder for more than a decade.
She assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer in October 2021, following nearly two years as CareerBuilder's Chief Product Officer, driving advancement of CB's Product, Marketing, Communications, and GTM strategy for both consumer-facing as well as B2B. From 2014 to 2020 she was Vice President of the company's Products, Data Intelligence and Global Integrations, leveraging the power of AI, machine learning and emerging technologies to remove friction and drive personalized and relevant candidate and recruiter experiences.
Leigh-Margaret has overseen mergers and acquisitions at global customer experience and technology company Teletech, led change management and business innovation in the industrial supply space, and held leadership roles at General Motors. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Western Kentucky University.
How did you make your first dollar? Selling homemade crayon bundles in elementary school
Do you have a secret talent? I like to paint. Not sure I'm very talented, but it's fun.
Favorite quote? I have so many favorite quotes, but at the top of my list is from Dolly Parton. "Figure out who you are. Then do it on purpose."

Grounded, driven, optimistic. As Chief Revenue Officer of CareerBuilder, Steven leads North America Sales, Success, Sales Excellence, and the execution of the organization's growth strategy.
Steven has fifteen years of industry experience with CareerBuilder, and he assumed the position of CRO in October 2021. Prior to his current role, he was the Vice President of Sales for CareerBuilder's Staffing & Recruiting Group, which services staffing customers throughout the United States. He has also led the IT & Engineering vertical of CareerBuilder's Small Business Group, where he focused on strategic solution identification for the division and leadership development. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from DePaul University.
If you weren't a CRO, what would your dream job be? Own a professional sports team.
What three traits do all leaders need? Preparedness, perseverance, a sense of purpose.
How did you make your first dollar? I worked as a stock clerk in the grocery department and saved up over two years to buy my first car (a 95 Pontiac Firebird)!

Kristin Kelley

Kristin is on a mission for everyone to find meaning in their work. That's why she's spent most of her 20-year professional experience in the staffing industry.
Kristin built her reputation as a marketing strategy and consulting leader with pivotal roles at The Intersect Group, where she served as CXO; Randstad, where she served as the North American CMO; and Hire Dynamics, where she led marketing and communications. In these positions she shaped brand, launched innovative strategies to align sales and marketing, and led integrated marketing programs.
An expert in demographic workforce shifts, women in leadership, work/life balance, and millennial employee motivations, Kristin has a passion for sharing her industry knowledge with professional organizations and publications.

A trusted business partner with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and private practice experience, Mark has counseled boards of directors, executive officers and corporate function leaders on matters relating to governance, compliance, acquisitions and divestitures, finance, litigation, commercial transactions, labor and employment, and intellectual property.
Prior to joining CareerBuilder in April 2019, Mark held legal positions at Knowles Corporation, Molex, Boeing, Schiff Hardin, and Mayer Brown. Prior to that he was special counsel to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Mark holds a Bachelor in Government and International Relations from Georgetown University and received his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center.
If you weren't a lawyer what would you be? A rancher somewhere out west.
What's something new you've learned recently? I am trying sports that I never played when I was a kid but that my children are now playing, like lacrosse, soccer, platform tennis and softball.

An experienced business/real estate executive, Jeff is responsible for all aspects of the CareerBuilder global real estate portfolio and procurement program as well as many other cost-related areas such as insurance and travel. He joined CareerBuilder in January 2018 to help reduce the company’s cost structure and speed its return to growth. Prior to that, he led large Fortune 100 and 500 corporate real estate and procurement organizations, such as American Express and Tyco International (now Johnson Controls) supporting customer and strategic objectives. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Illinois Institute of Technology.
If you weren't a VP of global real estate and procurement, what would your dream job be? Retired stock broker on my own private island.

Ahern joined CareerBuilder as VP of Finance in September 2021 shortly before assuming the role of Executive Vice President of Finance. Prior to joining CareerBuilder, he held leadership roles at Uptake, Follett and Ernst & Young. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Marquette University.
If you weren't leading the finance team, what would your dream job be? Astronomer or kicker for the Green Bay Packers
How did you make your first dollar? I grew up on a dairy farm — my first dollar probably came from cleaning out calf pens.
Favorite quote? I have three that I live by. Every day is a new beginning. Seek progress not perfection. Be brave enough to suck at something new.

Before joining CareerBuilder as Assistant General Counsel for Employment, Brian spent 14 years in the private practice of law, advising management on labor and employment compliance and litigation issues. He assumed the role of VP, Human Resources, in February 2023. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science from Butler University and received his Juris Doctor from University of Illinois College of Law.
